Sport/Voetbalmagazine becomes a monthly

As of February 2022 Sport/Voetbalmagazine & Sport/Foot Magazine will be published monthly in a magabook format. The magazines will further develop their digital connection with sports enthusiasts.

For decades now, the Dutch-language Sport/Voetbalmagazine and its French-language counterpart Sport/Foot Magazine have been a point of reference for anyone who sees past the issues of the day in the world of soccer and sports. The current formula – with the magazine highlighting the latest soccer news from different angles by means of in-depth interviews, revealing reports, razor-sharp analyses and compelling columns – will largely remain the same, but no longer on a weekly basis. The group will also continue investing in in-depth journalism, bigger stories, more powerful photos and a more luxurious finish of the printed product.

Editor-in-chief Jacques Sys: “In the last few years, the Sport/Voetbalmagazine and Foot Magazine specials proved to be a commercial and content-wise recipe for success. This recipe will be further deepened and expanded.”

In addition to the monthly magazine, room will be made for the brand’s digital reinvention. The offering of sports, soccer and cycling fits perfectly in the very comprehensive digital media offering of the “My Magazines” group, with access to the content of all RMG titles. And this at any moment of the day, for any occasion and across all topics.

The renewed Sport/Voetbalmagazine and Foot Magazine formula will continue focusing on European soccer and the Jupiler Pro League, but will also feature retro reports, investigative journalism, top interviews and other new sections. In addition to 12 extra voluminous editions, the offering for subscribers and occasional readers will be expanded with four cycling specials. Four annual appointments with the reader to guide him or her through the new cycling seasons and the highlights of Belgian and international cycling.
